A classic: Grandmother's sugar cream.
Hard sugar cream
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of brown sugar
1 cup of cream
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
Cook in a saucepan until the texture is soft, or until a spoonful of the mixture is held together in the water.
Then remove the pan from the heat.
Thereafter, whip until you get a glossy texture, about four minutes.
Place the mixture in an eight-inch by eight-inch square baking pan that has been buttered beforehand.
When the mixture has cooled down, cut and tease!
Soft sugar cream
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of brown sugar
2 cups of cream
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Then boil the mixture in a saucepan for two or three minutes. Then remove from heat, and keep the mixture in a bowl. You can then serve it on a cake.
Bon appétit!
