Recipe: Maple Biscuits
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup vegetable fat or softened butter
1 egg
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup oatmeal
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tspground nutmeg
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
PREPARATION
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 375 ° F. In a bowl, undo the fat or cream butter.
STEP 2
Gradually add egg, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
STEP 3
Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and add the nuts.
STEP 4
Spoon on a well buttered baking sheet. Cook about 15 minutes.
Note: You can at will gather these cookies two by two with a frosting of your choice!
