Recipe: Classic Macaroni Salad
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 10
- 4 cups uncooked macaroni
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of vinegar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 ½ tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 ½ tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 large chopped onion
- 2 chopped celery stalks
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup grated carrots
- 2 tbsp. chopped hot peppers (optional)
PREPARATION
Preparation time: 20min> Cooking time: 10min> Extra time: 4h refrigeration> Ready in: 4h30min
- Bring a large pan of slightly salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook for about 8 minutes. Rinse under cold water and drain.
- In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper. Add the onion, celery, pepper, carrots, peppers and macaroni. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
