Old-fashioned molasses patties
INGREDIENTS
Bowl 1:
1/2 cup fat style Tenderflake
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup molasses
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
Bowl 2:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ginger
Additional ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp raisins (optional)
PREPARATION
STEP 1
Put the oven at 350 ° F.
STEP 2
Melt the fat in a microwavable dish (about 30 seconds to 1 minute, must be lukewarm).
STEP 3
In a bowl, mix the first ingredients, molasses, brown sugar and fat with an electric mixer. The consistency should be smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix again.
STEP 4
In a second bowl, combine dry ingredients, flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and ginger.
STEP 5
Add the dry ingredients to the creamy ingredients, alternating with the milk. Start by adding the flour and finish with the flour. Add the raisins (optional). The end result must be a smooth dough.
STEP 6
Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes, the dough will thicken slightly, the time to prepare the cookie sheets. Prepare 2 cookie sheets by applying parchment paper.
STEP 7
Bake 15 minutes (do not overcook). Let cool and keep the patties in a plastic bag to keep the texture soft. Makes 12 patties.
Bon appétit!
