Cabbage cigar rolls recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1 medium cabbage
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 tbsp olive oil
1 box of diced tomatoes
4 crushed garlic cloves
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup uncooked rice (converted UncleBen)
1/4 cup Heinz ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/4 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup tomato juice or vegetables V8
PREPARATION
Step 1
Remove the heart from the cabbage and boil for about 20 minutes. Remove a dozen leaves.
Step 2
Meanwhile in a saucepan, sauté 1 cup onion, garlic and brown sugar. Add the tomatoes and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Simmer 15 minutes.Reserve the sauce.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup onion, meat, ketchup, rice, Worcestershire sauce, salt teaspoon and pepper.
Step 4
Take a cabbage leaf, remove the large vein in the center and put about 1/3 cup of meat mixture. Roll the sheet into a cigar and place the seam down in a baking pan. Repeat as long as there is meat.
Step 5
Pour the sauce over the cigars, cover and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes at 350 ° F. Check during cooking and add tomato juice if necessary.
