Recipe: Mexican pâté
INGREDIENTS
Makes: 2 blocks
2 lb lean ground beef
2 small onions, finely chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup each of: Ketchup, relish and chili sauce
1 ½ cup grated mozarella
Pie crusts
PREPARATION
Preparation time: 30min> Cooking time: 35min> Ready in: 1h05min
Preheat oven to 425 ° F (220 ° C).
In a large skillet or saucepan, brown the ground beef in olive oil for a few minutes. Drain. Add the onions and chillies. Bake for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In a small bowl, combine ketchup, relish, and chili sauce. Add to the meat and cook another 5 minutes. Place the meat mixture in an uncooked crust. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Cover with the other pie crust and seal the edges well. Bake for 35 minutes or until pie is golden brown.
