My aunt Carole's hot poutine and hot chicken sauce!
INGREDIENTS
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of cornstarch
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of water
- 90 ml (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) unbleached all purpose flour
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 x 10 oz. (284 mL) concentrated undiluted beef broth
- 1 can of 10 oz. (284 mL) concentrated undiluted chicken broth
- Pepper
PREPARATION
- In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the water. Book.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour and continue cooking for about 5 minutes, stirring until the mixture turns golden brown. Add garlic and continue cooking for about 30 seconds.
- Add broth and bring to a boil while stirring with a whisk. Stir in the cornstarch and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Pepper.
