The best recipe for donuts with potatoes
INGREDIENTS
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of cream 15% cooking
- Butter (quantity as big as an egg)
- 3 large mashed potatoes and warm (important)
- 5 cups of flour
- Vegetable oil for cooking
- Iced sugar, honey or maple syrup for garnish. I eat them nature.
PREPARATION
- Peel and boil the potatoes
- Beat the eggs with the sugar in a large bowl.
- Add flour alternately with milk and cream while mixing well with your blender
- Add the tempered butter
- Pile the potatoes
- Add the warm crushed potatoes and beat the mixture a few minutes.
On a clean, flat surface put flour and put in the dough. It will be a bit sticky to form balls. Add flour to your hands so you can work it.
Make small balls of dough (about a lemon size), flatten it a bit and use a shot glass to make the hole. (If you have the donut tool so much better but with the shot glass is a real charm).
Using a shotgun to make the hole
Note here that the hole can become a beautiful munchkin! Or take the holes to make more donuts. It's a personal choice.
Take care not to superimpose them, they will stick together and you will have to start all over again! (I speak knowingly).
Put the donuts gently in the hot oil of the fryer, taking care to space them between them.
As soon as they begin to brown turn them over (allow 3 to 4 minutes total for cooking) once cooked place them on a parchment paper.
Sift with powdered sugar, dip in maple syrup or honey.
The donuts are kept at room temperature for 2 days and they freeze. As long as you do for the happiness of your neighbors!
Bon appétit!
