Recipe: Creamy Sugar Cake from yesteryear.
Cake Ingredients
1 egg
2/3 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of fat
1 cup (250 ml) of milk
2 cups of all-purpose flour
3 tsp of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
Cake preparation
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix the egg, sugar and fat with the electric mixer.
Add the milk alternating with the dry ingredients.
Put on a greased sheet with a large teaspoon.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (depending on the oven) on the middle rack.
Icing ingredients
1/4 cup of butter
1/4 cup of milk
1 cup of brown sugar
1 1/2 cup of icing sugar
Frosting preparation
Mix all the ingredients together except the icing sugar.
Microwave for 3 minutes.
Cool in the fridge a few minutes.
Add icing sugar and mix with electric mixer.
Immediately ice the pancakes.
Prepare the frosting in advance. Put on the patties when they are still warm.
